Setting your FOV SketchUp

Google SketchUp is an easy-to-use tool that lets you to create, modify and share 3D models. Now you might like to know whether you can see a wider-angel view, so inside SketchUp model you can set your field of view (FOV) to see a wider-angle view by doing as follows:

  • Select the Zoom tool by pressing Z on your keyboard
  • Type in an angle (in degrees) that represents how wide you'd like your view to be, and press Enter — this is your field of view. For a 45 degree FOV, you'd type 45deg. The larger the angle, the more you'll be able to see. SketchUp's default FOV is 35 degrees, but 60 degrees is much handier for interior views

"Your Field of View determines how much of your model you can "see" at once. To use this tutorial, just download the SketchUp 6 version of this model onto your computer, then open it in Google SketchUp 6."
